SAP Crystal Reports for Visual Studio (SP34) CR runtime engine for .NET framework MSI (64-bit) is required to run certain reports in AMT, register to download.

Microsoft Project

AMT includes a function called “Export to Project”, which export Planning data from AMT to Microsoft Project. To use this feature, a client computer must have one of the following versions of Microsoft Project installed:

  • Microsoft Project 2003
  • Microsoft Project 2007
  • Microsoft Project 2010

Adobe Acrobat Reader

AMT includes a small number of reports that are launched as PDF files, and therefore require Adobe Acrobat Reader to be installed on the client computer. These PDF reports are part of the following AMT modules: Parts Forecasting, Rotables Manager, EM Issues, Sales Tool. If you are not using any of these modules, then Adobe Acrobat Reader is not required on client computers.

Other Prerequisites

Several areas of AMT allow the user to attach documents (eg. users can attach documents to an Equipment Plan or to a Workorder). These documents can be any file chosen by the user. If another user needs to view these documents, then that user will need the appropriate application installed on their client computer.

For example, if users attach JPG images to Workorders in AMT, then any user who needs to view these images will need some application configured on their client computer that opens JPG files correctly.

Instructions

Installing the AMT Client


  1. Ensure your system is up to date by installing all High-Priority/Required updates on Microsoft Update
  2. After installing all High-Priority/Required updates with Microsoft Update, launch the AMT Client by clicking "Start AMT" button at the top right.
  3. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.

Removing the AMT Client


  1. On the Windows Start menu, click Control Panel.
  2. Select Add/Remove Programs.
  3. In the list of currently installed programs, select AMT Client and then click Remove or Add/Remove. If a dialog box appears, follow the instructions to remove the program
